CEDAR HILL BAKEHOUSE

Visual Identity System // Brand Strategy & Asset Delivery
The Challenge
When the founder of Cedar Hill Bakehouse received her home bakery license, she faced a common startup hurdle: she had a clear vision for her baked goods but zero direction for her visual identity. She wanted her brand to feel "small batch" or "rooted in simplicity", but couldn't bridge the gap between that cozy, artisanal vibe and a functional logo design. She reached out for a complete identity built from scratch.
The Solution
Instead of just jumping into sketches, I started with a deep-dive discovery process. I interviewed the client to uncover her target audience, style preferences (rustic vs. modern), color boundaries, and functional needs. By digging into what "small batch" and "rooted in simplicity" actually meant to her, I established a clear visual strategy.
I developed two distinct brand concepts tailored to her ideal customer. Once she selected the winning direction, I built out a cohesive ecosystem including primary logos, sub-marks, a curated color palette, and a typography standard. From the initial conversation to final approval and handoff, the entire strategy and design process was completed in just five days.
Role: Brand Designer & Strategist
Tools: Adobe Creative Suite
Timeline: 5-Day Rapid Launch
Key Deliverables: Discovery & Strategy, Logo Suite (Primary & Sub-marks), Brand Color Palette, Typography Selection, and a Production-Ready Asset Kit.

Designed for Independence
A great brand system should empower the client, not restrict them. To ensure the bakery could hit the ground running, I packaged a comprehensive, production-ready digital and physical asset kit. I handed off clean, organized files formatted specifically for her immediate needs: printing high-quality product packaging labels, launching consistent social media channels, and setting up professional email marketing layouts.
Impact
By translating an abstract vibe into a tangible, strategic brand system, Cedar Hill Bakehouse launched with a professional visual identity that commands trust from day one. The client transitioned from having "zero direction" to owning a comprehensive kit of parts, giving her total creative independence to grow her business across physical and digital touchpoints.
